Paying attention to the small stuff

The artist Jake Tilson has noticed he has acquired a micro-garden in Peckham. He writes:  
‘Viewed closely the top of the gate-pillar in our front garden looks  like a raised luxuriant plateau from the Lost World. An illusion created  by moss and delicate minuscule red plants the size of ants.’
He  added: ‘It’s a nice idea to think of making work in restricted spaces.  I’ve always had a miniature studio (compared to most) and a work-mate  sized space in the cellar. They remind me of Joseph Cornell’s studio  which was extremely small’
