I’ve been thinking about this work from Dan Graham, made in 1978, which is a proposal for a work never made. In these times when we are all thinking about the strained relationship between public and private, and the sometimes uneasy relationship with technology, it feels quite relevant. The idea is simple. Whatever is on TV inside the house is projected onto a screen outside the house. Dani just talked to me about her dance evenings she has been hosting and recording, which feel they have something in common.
