intervention

I’d like to think, my mediation, intervening in the walk, with a magnet, or mirror, a puddle, or some other device, puts the intervention in the frame, as art, the intent of the author, to intervene. But in taking a phone for a walk, filming and photographing, am I not engaging in a social practice which we have all been programmed to do. No longer being satisfied with a simple act, in this case the walk, we have to document, highlight, make it interesting, share with friends and family, and a wider audience, on social media. Have I not just fallen into or struggled to get away from the trap, ensnared, publicly displaying my demise into an automaton.
