My friend, Rebbeca Buckley and I started a project in parks and open spaces, where we are trying to make art in the environment. Using natural materials which we find around us and constructing a collaborative piece that we can leave behind.

We’ve been out a couple of times so far. The first to Battersea Park and the second to Wilderness Island, in Sutton.

We are planning on writing a set of instructions, a recipe for the work, so that others can go out and make with the same constraints.

At the moment we are just feeling our way, it is strange enough to meet with another person from your household, let alone to start to try something collaborative.

Part of me feels like we can’t compete with nature….
