RECALIBRATE//MANIPULATE, curated by Mariam Hussein, presents the works of The Forum Collective; Beverley Onyangunga, Boris Colin, Elyas Alavi, Maryam Hina Hasnain, Stephen Nulty and Sunyoul Kim. The show probes that stories are a double-edged sword. The way information is organised to build stories about the world shapes our history and our understanding of current affairs. Alternatively, stories can be toxic. Those in power of the narrative may manipulate and remove information as a way to maintain their position of power. This comes at the expense of an oppressed and untold story, which The Forum Collective, work to unveil.
