Flora strikes a pose

Flora strikes a pose. She is dressed for the party. Having had her gin and tonic, she feels she can ‘let go’. Flora models herself on the celebrity; the drama of movies stars. 1930s black-and-white movies influence her greatly; Jean Harlow, Rita Hayworth, Grace Kelly. She hangs pictures of her film celebrities by her bed, so that in her mind, she can immerse herself in their lives. To pose for a series of back-and-white photographs, Flora feels important and significant.
