Hotel Paintings
this series of work is produced during the 4 weeks mandatory hotel quarantine in Melbourne and Adelaide after I returned to Australia. I started to paint on the food bags that I’ve been given by the hotel.

This is brilliant Elyas, there’s a sense of Francis Bacon. A tension that I really like. I see red in all of them, but red is not to be found!
